Watchman Digest

“How ’bout them Boys!”

Host: Stan Cox

Larry Fain misses a second, (and hopefully) final week after having oral surgery.  Stan spends time this week exercising his filibuster privileges, and talking about Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, the Dallas Cowboys, two examples of Hollywood immorality (Madonna and Jennifer Aniston), and our smoking (literally) President-elect Barack Obama!  (Note:  There is an occasional “glitch” in the audio, I’m not sure where it came from.  It does not greatly impact the program, just an occasional “click”, but I am aware of it, and I will do some testing to make sure it doesn’t crop up again next week). Sunday, December 14th, 2008

(Editor’s note:  The following, as yet unpublished letter to the editor of the Fort Worth Star Telegram, was written by Kendra Cox, Stan Cox’s 22 year old daughter).

Young Ladies Who Smoke

Yes, you heard that right, students were allowed to light up on campus.  We are living now in far different times.

Well, several times a day I had to walk across the connecting sidewalk.  I always took a deep breath before opening the door, and tried to hurry across so that I would not have to breathe in the second hand smoke. (more…)

Hosts: Larry Fain & Stan Cox

Will Hillary Clinton become Secretary of State?  And What is it about politicians fighting and then making up?  Are they a bunch of phonies?  Stan and Larry also discuss some of the absurd examples of social decay and disorder. (more…)
