“How ’bout them Boys!”

Larry Fain misses a second, (and hopefully) final week after having oral surgery. Stan spends time this week exercising his filibuster privileges, and talking about Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, the Dallas Cowboys, two examples of Hollywood immorality (Madonna and Jennifer Aniston), and our smoking (literally) President-elect Barack Obama! (Note: There is an occasional “glitch” in the audio, I’m not sure where it came from. What did you think way back in 1992 when you saw Bill Clinton get his saxophone and play with the band on the Arsenio Hall show? Now that’s a blast from the past, isn’t it?
Well, since I am bringing it up, I guess you know how I feel about it. It irritated me, and the presidential candidates who have appeared since on such shows as Oprah, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, the Ellen DeGeneres show, and The View irritate me too!
Now, I know what you are thinking. Stan, they had to appear on these shows, because the public demands it. And, you’re right. In fact,that’s what irritates me so much. Why is it that Presidential candidates have to pander to pop culture? (more…)
