Watchman Digest, Episode 6

Watchman Digest

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

Hosts: Larry Fain & Stan Cox

Larry and Stan give a post mortem on the election of Barack Obama.  Though disappointed in the election results, both of them are surprisingly upbeat as they contemplate the future.  What is their secret?  Listen and find out!  Show Notes after the jump!

Show Notes:

  • Regular Features:
    • Larry’s Scripture: (Revelation 2:10-ff).  Larry explains, using this text, why as a Christian such events as Tuesday’s election do not cause him too much anxiety or fear.
    • Software Review: Picasa (Organize, Edit, Create and Share your digital images with this great, free software).  Only available in Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Stan’s Rant: The Problem with Charisma.  Obama was elected for the most part because he is perceived as a charismatic man.  Stan is a little irritated about that.  To read his rant, click here.

  1. Larry Fain says:

Whether you listen to the podcast or not, please remember Stan’s dad, Larry, fighting a valiant war with leukemia, and Stan’s mom, Linda, a truly devoted Christian, devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, as well as to her Lord. This is one of the finest families I have ever been honored to know, to love, and to be loved back. Pray for them. (Stan gives an update on Larry’s health in the podcast.)

  2. Naffel says:

I agree that this election was a recoil from the Republican party. I just hope the next election is a recoil from Liberalism, rather than just the Democratic party.
